Nursing foot care visits will be thorough and comprehensive using only steam sterilized tools by autoclave per IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control), Public Health best practice guidelines and CSA standards. Tools are packaged individually and opened in the front of you, during the visit, to guarantee your foot care tools have only been used for your visit.
During the visit the feet will be cleansed with an alcohol based cleanser and an antiseptic wipe. Soaking of the feet is discouraged, and against best practice guidelines for foot care nurses, as either the foot basin could cause infection or there could be self infection from the bacteria on your own feet. Soaking can also cause drying of the skin.
Medical Foot care
The visit will consist of the trimming and filing of toenails, including identification of any foot health problem and treatment of issues such as Thickened Toenails, Fungal Toenails, Ingrown Toenails, Corns, and Calluses.
The cost is $60 per visit.
Diabetes Monitoring and Support
Diabetic Foot Assessment will include the use of a Inlow's 60-second Diabetic Foot Screen for the assessment and management of the diabetic foot. As well as the trimming and filing of the toenails. Referrals will be provided as needed.
The cost is $75 per visit.
Long Term Care Home Medical and Diabetic Footcare
Comprehensive footcare for your loved one while in long term care. The visit will consist of the trimming and filing of toenails, including identification of any foot health problem and treatment of issues such as Thickened Toenails, Fungal Toenails, Ingrown Toenails, Corns, and Calluses. Referalls for orthotics and comprehesion if needed. Direct billing for Greenshield and Blue Cross is available.
The cost is $38 per Medical Footcare visit.
The cost is $75 per Diabetic Footcare visit
Fingernail Care
Includes trimming and filing of the fingernails.
The cost is $15
